The CHILL Youth Music Program
The CHILL Program strongly believes that ending violence begins with our children. Budget cuts have forced music and many other liberal arts opportunities out of our public school systems, and many children wind up involved in crime simply for a lack of healthy alternatives.
The CHILL Program is organizing our first CHILL Youth Music Program. CHILL will select a group of 20 children, grades 6-8, to be a part of this unique experience, teaching these children self discipline, promoting creativity and a healthy self-esteem.
Selected students will learn how to write, perform, and even produce their very own musical creation. Utilizing donations of instruments and recording facilities, along with volunteers to teach the children how to read music, play their selected musical instrument, write lyrics, and even produce and record their own finished song. Children will also being given furute opportunities to learn skills in other areas of media, such as television production and broadcasting.
